Tempered Glass

Up to four times stronger than annealed glass. Safety and durability wherever the code, or common sense, demands it.

Strength you can spec.

Tempering puts the glass surface under compression, multiplying its resistance to impact and thermal stress. And when tempered glass does break, it crumbles into small granular pieces instead of sharp shards, which is exactly why building codes require it where people and glass meet.

We temper to order in Guelph, on the same 5 to 7 day lead times as the rest of our line, so your schedule does not wait on safety glass.
